There is so much to see and do in Iceland and planning the itinerary can seem like a daunting task. We have teamed up with the oldest operating travelling agency in Iceland, the Iceland Tourist Bureau. Here are some itineraries from them, for your inspiration.
Around Iceland in 8 days
Along the ring road self drive itinerary. This one has it all: waterfalls, glaciers, black beaches and two national parks. And yes, also the famous Golden Circle, all the highlights in one trip! If you have the luxury of more time, 10-12 is the optimal duration to really inhale the Icelandic nature and energy. If you however are not looking to take things slow and relax but are full of energy and ready for the drive, 8 days is great.
Travel Along the Icelandic South Coast
Along the South Coast in 5 days and 4 nights. This one has some major gems and sparkling locations that are not so obvious not to the locals. See the itinerary.
Reykjavik City Break
OK, this one is not a list of ideas for an itinerary in Reykjavik but a list of things you could be free of fiddling with, by getting some assistance from the Iceland Tourist Bureau. Check out the 4 days in Reykjavik with a stop at the Blue Lagoon.
